This vacancy is to fill many International Trade Compliance Analyst (Pathways Recent Graduates) positions, under the Pathways Recent Graduate Program, within the Department of Commerce, International Trade Administration, Antidumping/Countervailing Duty Operations. What You'll Do

  • As an International Trade Compliance Analyst (Pathways Recent Graduates), you will perform the following duties: Assist in the preparation of oral presentations that address issues raised by stakeholders and the team.
  • Assist in the analysis and evaluation of data; attend meetings, briefings, hearings; and assist with data verification.
  • Enforce US AD/CVD laws through proceedings, by performing analysis, research and implementing results.
  • Assist in the research and/or analysis of US AD/CVD related regulations and make recommendations.
  • This position is being recruited with an opportunity for non-competitive conversion eligibility to a permanent OR term position upon completion of all Recent Graduate program requirements.
  • Conversion is not mandatory nor guaranteed.
  • This Job Opportunity Announcement may be used to fill other International Trade Compliance Analyst (Pathways Recent Graduates) GS-1801-9 full performance level, GS-13, positions within the Department of Commerce in the same geographical location with the same qualifications and specialized experience.

Requirements

  • Applicants must have completed, within the previous two-years, a qualifying associate's, bachelor's, master's, professional, doctorate, vocational or technical degree or certificate from a qualifying educational institution, or are be a current student or qualifying program participant who will complete the academic requirements within nine months.
  • Exceptions are made for veterans, as defined in 5 USC 2108 , who, due to military service obligations, were precluded from applying to the Recent Graduate Program during the two-year eligibility period described above.
  • Veterans have a full two-year period of eligibility upon their release or discharge from active duty.
  • The eligibility period shall not extend beyond six years from the date of academic completion.
  • You must be a U.S. citizen to apply for this position.
  • This position requires a Secret-Level Security Clearance.
  • You must be able to obtain and maintain the required clearance.
  • You must successfully pass a background investigation.
  • This may include a credit check, a review of financial issues, as well as certain criminal offenses and illegal use of possession of drugs.
  • A trial period may be required.
  • Selective Service: Males born after 12/31/59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service (see https://www.sss.gov/).
  • If you receive a conditional offer of employment for this position, you will be required to complete an Optional Form 306, Declaration for Federal Employment, and to sign and certify the accuracy of all information in your application.
  • All Federal employees are required to have Federal salary payments made by direct deposit to a financial institution of their choosing.
  • Drug Test: You will be required to submit to pre-employment testing to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment and random drug testing thereafter.
