About the Position: This position is located at the U.S. Operational Evaluation Command (OEC), Fires Directorate with a duty location of Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. (merit)
What You'll Do
- →Advise stakeholders on matters involving the technical evaluation of areas such as a broad range of new, traditional and/or rapid acquisition systems.
- →Represent the organization at program-related meetings to provide comprehensive input to acquisition decision makers regarding test planning/safety products.
- →Mentor project teams in areas such as ensuring test scope, cost estimate, and schedule accurately reflects areas such as evaluator and customer needs.
- →Advise leadership on the technical evaluation of acquisition systems.
- →Formulate internal technical policies/procedures within the limits of which all test functions are accomplished.
- →Review directorate test plans/safety products to ensure technical quality.
- →Responsible for managing testing programs to ensure that safety evaluation objectives are achieved.
- →Direct developmental testing missions by approving test support orders to ensure test activities are planned/estimated in accordance with applicable regulations.
Requirements
- ✓EDUCATION REQUIREMENT for Operations Research Analyst (1515) Series: Degree: Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in operations research; or a degree with at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics.
- ✓At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus.
- ✓EDUCATION REQUIREMENT for Physical Scientist (1301) Series: A.
- ✓Degree: Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in physical science, engineering, or mathematics that included 24 semester hours in physical science and/or related engineering science such as mechanics, dynamics, properties of materials, and electronics.
