This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Positions will be working with operations and maintenance services for fuel storage and distribution systems and/or medical facilities.
What You'll Do
- →Serve as technical advisor to other engineers in the Center, contractors, and to facility managers.
- →Monitors contractor performance and provides technical oversight to ensure engineering work meets project objectives, quality expectations, and contractual requirements.
- →Solve differences where conflicts between user needs and technical considerations arise.
- →Maintain close liaison with Government and private professional engineers, architects, research organizations, industry, technical organizations, and building operators in order to keep abreast of the latest developments.
- →Prepare and coordinate the preparation of Performance Work Statements, Scopes of Work, and Independent Government Estimates.
- →Serve as technical specialist for regulatory and industry standard compliant operations and maintenance programs and projects.
- →Based on knowledge of regulatory requirements, examination of user requirements, and inspection of actual site conditions and existing facilities, formulates criteria for the operation and maintenance of major facilities.
