About the Role
This position is located with Bonneville Power Administration, in Portfolio Integration & Decision Support (TISI), Strategy & Planning (TIS), Transmission Infrastructure Asset Management (TI), Transmission Services (T). A successful candidate in the Interdisciplinary Civil Engineer/Mechanical Engineer/Electrical Engineer position will serve as the senior Project Engineer for a portion of the Transmission Portfolio Integration & Decision Support.
What You'll Do
- →As a Project Engineer, you will: Lead, facilitate, and coordinate business case development and cost-benefit/financial analysis and evaluates technical content of submissions to ensure that proposals contain adequate risk assessments and address pre-engineering, engineering, contractual, accounting, and program management issues.
- →Provides guidance to Program Managers on how to create and manage program/project budgets, true-ups, execution, funding levels, and forecasting.
- →Certify that business case proposals are complete and technically sound, approves and facilitates projects through the approval process.
- →Identifies potential process improvement initiatives to facilitate a more efficient and cost-effective Capital project approval system.
- →Uses economic or financial models and techniques to determine and evaluate the impact (costs, benefits, relative risks) of a wide range of transmission, generation, or related capital investment projects.
- →Uses financial analysis techniques such as net present value, return on invested capital, internal rate of return, and cost/benefit ratios to develop project valuation and prioritization.
