The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Instructional Systems Specialist managing the design development and maintenance of all resident, distance learning (DL), and joint mobile education team course curricula for Joint Special Operations University (JSOU).
What You'll Do
- →Initiates and plans development of instructional materials for use in an appropriate format for JSOU, targeted at Joint Special Operations Forces (SOF) personnel.
- →Plans, coordinates and designs resident, mobile and web-based instruction for the Joint Special Operations University.
- →Establishes guidelines and policy for measuring achievement of instructional objectives for resident, mobile, and distance learning education courses.
- →Measures the effectiveness and efficiency of instructional programs for JSOU.
- →Assesses feasibility of using educational technology and other advanced methodologies for instructional courses.

- ✓FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements.
- ✓You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
- ✓Appointment of military members before the release or discharge date is permissible if the member is on terminal leave.
- ✓At the time the active duty member applies for a civil position, he or she must submit a "certification" memo in lieu of a DD-Form 214, Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty.
- ✓Active duty members applying for a civil service position without submitting a valid certification memo or DD-Form 214 with their application will render the member ineligible for the position.
- ✓Note: The VOW Act provides tentative preference.
- ✓If appointed, a DD Form-214 must be submitted upon receipt
