As the Enterprise Architect for Research Systems, you will serve as the senior technical authority for the IT peer-review and financial systems that underpin the Agency's scientific discoveries. You will lead the agency-wide modernization of legacy infrastructure, designing scalable cloud architectures tailored to the scientific research community. You will translate complex statutory mandates and scientific peer review methodologies into viable technical solutions.
What You'll Do
- →Direct the enterprise architecture strategy for the Agency's research award and peer review ecosystem, leading the transition from legacy systems to modern cloud-based solutions optimized for the scientific research lifecycle.
- →Serve as the Mission System Owner, making binding architectural decisions and designing infrastructure that meets rigorous security standards to achieve Authority to Operate (ATO) while supporting complex scientific data processing.
- →Act as the primary Technical Integrator, translating complex enterprise financial mandates, acquisition regulations, and scientific peer review requirements into technical systems that directly advance scientific mission objectives.
- →Ensure research IT infrastructure achieves strict compliance with federal mandates, assuming enterprise risk and mitigating vulnerabilities for an Agency-wide, multi-billion dollar portfolio of scientific grants and awards.
- →Provide senior-level technical leadership and authoritative governance for the continuous improvement, scalability, and technical evaluation of the scientific IT ecosystem to meet the long-term needs of the research community.
