This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) will be assigned to the Air Force Services Center at Port San Antonio, TX. This is a regular full-time category position with guaranteed 40 hrs. per week. Employees appointed to a regular category position are eligible for benefits.
What You'll Do
- →Assists with overall database systems administration (DB Systems Admin) support of the HQ Air Force Services Center (HQ AFSVC) Business Activity Network (BAN) environments.
- →The primary role is database and web-based systems administration support for the sustainment, installation, and configuration of all environments for the multi-user enterprise Air Force Lodging System.
- →The secondary role is database and web-based systems administration support for the sustainment, installation, and configuration of all environments for other enterprise-wide, internally developed, and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) systems.
- →Provides database and web-based systems administration support as appropriate and within the customer support agreements with AFSVC Directorate of IT Management Systems (HQ AFSVC).
- →In addition, this position is responsible for the implementation, security, and administration of multiple databases with high-volume and high-availability requirements.
- →This position will be responsible for supporting database tables, indexes, views, constraints, triggers, stored procedures, and storage requirements.
- →Manages database backups and recovery strategies.
- →Performs other duties as assigned.
