About the Role
Corrections professionals who foster a humane and secure environment and ensure public safety by preparing individuals for successful reentry into our communities.
What You'll Do
- →Serves as a receptionist for visitors entering the institution, provides necessary information, and arranges for contacts with appropriate departments.
- →Processes all visitors entering the institution by checking their identification, and using a metal detector to ensure no weapons and contraband enter the institution.
- →Checks all visitors' identification upon departure from the institution to ensure against potential inmate escapes.
- →Initiates and responds to numerous calls within the institution, ascertaining the caller's identity before any exchange of information.
- →Along with all other correctional institution employees, incumbent is charged with responsibility for maintaining security of the institution.
- →The staff correctional responsibilities precede all others required by this position and are performed on a regular and recurring basis.
