About the Role
This position is located at US Mint,Manufacturing Directorate - Denver - Quality Assurance Division. As an INDUSTRIAL ENGINEER, you will provide leadership in developing strategies to enhance the overall quality of products produced at the facility.
What You'll Do
- →As an INDUSTRIAL ENGINEER, you will: Lead and implement the organization's supplier quality program.
- →Serve as a contracting officer's representative (COR).
- →Plan, coordinate, and execute the quality program to ensure quality production of dies, coins, and numismatic products consistent with ISO 9001 standards, customer needs, and US Mint needs utilizing a lean/six sigma approach, and an integrated management approach including communication tools, decision making, team building, and problem solving.
- →Lead continuous improvement efforts mintwide.
- →Develop manufacturing and assembly processes for new products or processes.
- →Assist in developing and reviewing contracts for the purchase of raw material and packaging supplies.
- →Develop sampling plans and conduct receipt inspections to verify delivered items meet contract specifications.
- →Submit nonconformance reports and review and approve corrective actions for defective receipts.
- →Oversee the supplier scorecard program to measure supplier performance.
- →Establish quality plans for die, coin, and numismatic set production.
- →Monitor process performance and take steps to reduce defects, cost, waste, and inefficiencies and improve outputs.
Requirements

- ✓Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment, at the time requested by the agency.
- ✓Have your salary sent to a financial institution of your choice by Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer.
- ✓If you are a male applicant born after December 31, 1959, certify that you have registered with the Selective Service System or are exempt from having to do so.
- ✓Go through a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) process that requires two forms of identification from the Form I-9.
