All applications submitted by 11:59 (EST) on the closing day will receive consideration. 1039 Hours; The typical seasonal entry-on-duty period is Oct 2026-March 2027, but can be variable during these months due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding.
What You'll Do
- →Major duties may include, but are not limited to the following: Performs water quality monitoring which includes deploying, maintaining, and retrieving water quality monitoring equipment.
- →Assists in data analysis, preparation of reports and presentation of scientific information.
- →Assists with the completion of resource management duties by conducting and documenting field observations of geologic and water resources, climate conditions, and fauna and flora.
- →Assists in providing logistical support to scientists conducting studies in the park.

Requirements
- ✓Citizenship required.
- ✓Appointment subject to background investigation and favorable adjudication.
- ✓Males must meet Selective Service Registration Act requirement.
- ✓Selectee will be required to participate in the Direct Deposit Electronics Funds Transfer Program.
- ✓Occupancy of government quarters may be required.
- ✓Government housing may be available but is not guaranteed.
- ✓Use find a park to contact specific parks for more information on government housing.
- ✓You may be required to wear a uniform and comply with the National Park Service uniform standards.
- ✓A uniform allowance will be provided.
- ✓You may be required to work on-call, evenings, weekends, holidays, overtime and/or shift work.
- ✓You may be required to operate a government (or private) motor vehicle as part of your official duties.
- ✓You will also submit a photocopy of your valid State issued driver's license prior to your first official motor vehicle operation, and again every year, or more frequently if management determines such need exists.
- ✓Lastly, you may be required to submit (within a State sealed envelope or submitted directly by the State authorities), and at your own expense, all certified driving records from all States that discloses all valid driver's licenses, whether current or past, possessed by you.
