About the Role

Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! What You'll Do

  • Direct responsibility may include any combination of the following personnel functional areas: employee relations, staffing/recruitment, wage/classification, employee development, labor relations, employee benefits, background checks, etc.
  • Provides expertise, guidance, consultation and support on a wide variety of personnel issues to management officials, supervisors and employees in the area of personnel management.
  • Performs a variety of duties that require the application of the full range of personnel theories, principles, methods and techniques.
  • Exercises knowledge and skill in applying HR methods, principles and evaluative methods sufficient to advise on and/or resolve complex problems.
  • Provides written and oral communication techniques sufficient to develop and deliver briefings, project papers, status/staff reports, and correspondence to managers to foster understanding and acceptance of fact findings and recommendations.
  • Utilizes a wide range of HR principles, practices, and regulations sufficient to perform detailed analyses and draw conclusions on complex issues, problems, and situations.
  • Advises managers about appropriate disciplinary or other corrective techniques that are responsive to a range of conduct and performance problems; explain rules and procedures to employees and help them understand their rights and obligations.
  • Advises and assists management on a continuing basis to find sound solutions to problems in support of personnel needs of the organization.
  • This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs may be required.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
