About the Role
The Office of Employee Development provides professional instructional services and employee development guidance and assistance in the formulation and implementation of agency-wide training policies and procedures. Incumbent works with individuals and groups of managers to identify training needs, create and execute training programs to meet these needs and continually evaluates and improves these programs as the training needs and the training available to meet these training needs evolve.
What You'll Do
- →As a Human Resources Specialist (Sr.
- →Employee Development Specialist), GS-0201-14, your typical work assignments may include: Independently formulating, executing, evaluating and continuously improving Agency-wide training programs for employees, supervisors, managers, and executives.
- →Serving as an expert technical advisor providing guidance and assistance to managers and employees on training and instructional issues, including formulating policies, resolving problems, and conducting studies with recommendations.
- →Managing and administering contracts and interagency agreements for training services and materials as COTR or agency point of contact.
- →Designing, revising, and purchasing instructional programs and materials, including conducting analyses to determine training requirements, preparing instructional objectives, and determining instructional methodologies.
- →Assessing the effectiveness and efficiency of training programs and operations, including evaluating policies, curricula, instructional methods, and overall program performance.
