About the Role
Organizational Location:This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Human Resources Management, Talent Management Directorate, CBP Hiring Center, located in Bloomington, MN. - →Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and starts at a salary of $55,012.00 (GS-07, Step 1) to $87,482.00 (GS-09, Step 10) with promotion potential to $126,859 (GS-12 Step 10).

- →MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Identifying conditions of employment and required pre-employment qualifications and standards.
- →Communicating in an accurate and courteous manner with applicants on pre-employment requirements and qualification determinations.
- →Utilizing various internal and external human resources software programs and systems to accurately track, monitor, and report on applicant pre-employment statuses.
- →Providing advisory and consultant services to HR specialist and management on pre-employment requirements, including advising on the hiring actions and other required actions in accordance with merit promotion, delegated examining requirement, and veteran hiring.
- →Identifying, evaluating, and recommending to management appropriate human resources interventions to resolve complex interrelated human resources problems and issues.
