About the Role

This position is located in the Small Business Administration, Office of Human Resource Solutions - OHRS in Summerville, SC. The incumbent is responsible for agency policy and programs related to Human Resource development and training.

What You'll Do

  • This position is ONLY open to surplus and displaced Small Business Administration employees eligible for the Career Transition Assistance Program (CTAP); displaced Federal employees in the local commuting area eligible for the Interagency Career Transition Assistance Program (ICTAP); and VEOA eligibles.
  • To be eligible for CTAP or ICTAP consideration, you may only apply for a position that is at or below the grade level, and does not have greater promotion potential, of the position from which you are being (or have been) separated.
  • As a/an Human Resources Specialist (HR Development) at theGS- 0201-13, some of your typical work assignments may include: Conducts agency, program, and local training needs surveys and analyses in order to identify, procure, and deliver development, training and education programs that meet employee, program, and agency needs.
  • Designs, develops, executes, administers, and evaluates SBA career development programs.
  • Plans, coordinates, directs and/or conducts special staff projects and studies that are necessary to accomplish the goals and objectives of the Agency's human resources development program.
  • Works with program offices, managers, and administrative staff to develop or obtain appropriate training courses; manages contracting for purchase of materials and services; evaluates the training provided; and coordinates the Training and Development Advisory Board.

Requirements

  • Education may not be substituted for experience for this position.
