What You'll Do
- →As a Human Resources Specialist in the United States Attorney's Office (USAO), you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for providing a variety of human resources services to the employees of the United States Attorney's Office, District of South Carolina.
- →Typical work assignments will include: Administering recruitment and placement activities by analyzing position requirements, applying qualification standards, developing merit promotion plans, evaluating candidates, and advising management on effective staffing strategies.
- →Providing classification and position management services by preparing and reviewing position descriptions, conducting desk audits, applying classification standards, and advising management on organizational structure, grade levels, and workforce efficiency.
- →Advising management on employee relations, labor relations, and performance management matters including conduct, leave, awards, performance standards, grievances, union contract compliance, and sensitive or controversial personnel issues.
- →Administering employee benefits, compensation, training, and development programs by counseling employees and managers on federal benefits, pay and leave regulations, training needs, and workforce development opportunities.
- →Managing personnel records, systems, and HR program compliance by processing personnel actions, maintaining official records, resolving system errors, preparing reports, supporting program reviews, and serving as a senior HR technical advisor on complex personnel matters.
