For more information on the Department of Justice and the United States Attorneys' Offices, visit http://www.justice.gov/usao/. This position will join the HR team of US Attorney's Office, providing a full range of HR lifecycle support to an office of over 100 local staff. HR functions include staffing, benefits, compensation, HR operations, and more. As needed, additional positions may be filled using this announcement.
What You'll Do
- →If selected for this position, you will serve as a Human Resources Specialist in the United States Attorney's Office, Northern District of Alabama.
- →You will provide a variety of human resources management advisory services in the following functional areas: recruitment and placement, position classification, employee relations and performance management, employee benefits, compensation and human resources development.
- →At the full performance level, you will provide a variety of human resources management services in two or more of the following functional areas: recruitment and placement, position classification, employee relations and performance management, employee benefits, and human resources development.
- →If selected, you will receive formal and/or on-the-job training as needed.
- →Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.
Requirements
- ✓All academic degrees and coursework must be completed at a college or university that has obtained accreditation or pre-accreditation status from an accrediting body recognized by the U.S.
- ✓Department of Education.
- ✓For a list of schools that meet this criteria, see http://www.ed.gov OR Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the above education requirements if you can show that the foreign education is comparable to that received in an accredited educational institution in the United States.
