About the Role
This position is part of the Defense Human Resources Activity. The incumbent serves as a Human Resources Specialist, DoD authority to interpret and provide advice on DoD-wide Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) policies, procedures, and regulations. Researches, develops, interprets, and coordinates civilian personnel policies applicable to all DoD Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) civilian employees.
What You'll Do
- →As a Human Resources Specialist at the GS-0201-13 some of your typical work assignments may include: Draft, revise, and edit DoD level nonappropriated fund (NAF) human resources issuances and guidance based on senior leadership direction for staffing, review, and issue by DoW leadership.
- →Research and provide information and recommendations in response to questions from NAF Employees, DoW NAF employers, and DoW leadership involving NAF Human Resources.
- →Attend and participate in meetings and working groups to provide information and technical expertise regarding NAF Human Resources policies and practices.
- →Review and analyze emerging laws and regulations to determine potential applicability to NAF HR operations and functions.
- →Review and interpret data related to NAF HR Programs and operations and utilize results to recommend updates to leadership regarding policies and guidance.
Requirements
- ✓Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
