About the Role
This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Office of Human Capital, Workforce Management Group. As a Human Resource Specialist (Executive Resources), you will handle important human resources work for high-level positions, such as Senior Executive Services (SES), Senior Level (SL), Schedule C, and non-career SES political appointments.
What You'll Do
- →Provide operating human resources services for a variety of sensitive case actions involving SES members, SL/ST, Title 42 (f), and political personnel, including Presidential Appointees, noncareer SES, and Schedule C appointees.
- →Develop position description, classify positions; conduct recruitment, including merit staffing.
- →Evaluate applicants' qualifications; participate in merit staffing panels; and prepare classification/qualification requests on Schedule C actions for White House Liaison and OPM approval.
- →Provide staff guidance and/or advice to programs/offices regarding recruitment and placement, position classification, and performance management requirements of executive personnel.
