Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Human Resources Management, HR Policy and Programs Directorate, Medical and Fitness Branch, located in Washington, D.C. Additional selections may be made for other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.
What You'll Do
- →Joining Customs & Border Protection (CBP) will allow you to utilize your expertise in supporting CBP's Drug-Free Workplace Program (DFWP) through administrative, technical, and regulatory duties, including compliance monitoring, recordkeeping, and employee drug awareness initiatives.
- →This position starts at a salary of $70,623.00 (GS-09, Step 1) to $111,087.00 (GS-11, Step 10) with promotion potential to $133,142 (GS-12 Step 10).

- →Typical Work assignments include: Keeping accurate and up-to-date records, including drug testing results, training documentation, and policy updates, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- →Coordinating drug testing events and tracking employee participation to support the implementation of federal and CBP guidelines.
- →Assisting in drafting correspondence and presentations for management review, ensuring accuracy and consistency with established guidelines.
- →Supporting the COR in monitoring contractor performance and compliance with DFWP-related contracts by tracking deliverables, reviewing invoices, and identifying potential issues.
- →Assisting with the collection of urine specimens under appropriate supervision, maintaining chain of custody and adhering to strict confidentiality protocols.
