About the Role
The Health System Administrator (Deputy Network Director) for the Network Office reports to the VA Mid-Atlantic Health Care Network Director. This position operates as the full designee of the Network Director and is directly accountable for providing strategic leadership and direction to the administrative activities of the Network in its entirety.
What You'll Do
- →Duties of the Health System Administrator (Deputy Network Director) include but not limited to: Innovatively applying solid financial and administrative skills to ensure fiscal, logistics/supply chain management, capital assets and human capital resources are utilized effectively and efficiently.
- →Represent the Network Director at national VHA meetings and on task force activities drafting national policies, defending the Network's position on proposals, and obtaining VHA and VA approval for implementation actions as warranted and required.
- →Integral member of the decision-making team in the Network Director' Office.
- →Provides input to and makes decisions that have strong impact on medial center, Network, and national matters Develops and implements the VISN financial plan and budget.
- →Oversees VISN Chief Financial Officer and appropriate allocations of resources to the Network's health care facilities and assures sound fiscal practices and performance.
- →Consistently adheres to VA procurement regulations and policies.
- →Supervises the VISN Chief Logistics Officer (CLO) and assures CLO activities support the Network in accomplishment of all logistics goals.
- →Assists in developing the Network's capital asset goals and objectives, and short and long-range plans for achieving them, consistent with identified methods of efficient operations.
- →Assures consistent adherence to VA capital asset management regulations and policies.
- →Work Schedule: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
- →(Monday to Friday) Telework: This position may be authorized for ad-hoc telework, as applicable according to VA policy.
