The Health System Administrator serves as the Assistant Director and shares with the Executive Leadership Team a level of responsibility for the direction and management of the Medical Center and is directly responsible for facilities operations. The position is located within the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), South Central VA Health Care Network (VISN 16), Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks (VHSO) and is physically located in Fayetteville, AR.
What You'll Do
- →As a full member of the health care systems Senior Management Team, the Assistant Director has responsibility for making and implementing administrative decisions directly impacting patient care and the operations of the integrated health care system.
- →Duties of this position include, but are not limited to: Responsible for the development of plans, programs, direction, and monitoring of clinic and health plan management.
- →Plans, coordinates, supervises, and directs various administrative and health related services.
- →Maintain or improve the quality of service and health care delivered by the health care system.
- →Develop and execute budget projections.
- →Respond to accreditation and regulatory requirements.
- →Applies specialized principles and practices of health care management to coordinate, direct, and control programs and resources for both clinics and health plan administration.
- →Serves as a facilitator between clinical providers and administrators to meet the medical center's goals and objectives.
- →Provides timely and responsive decisions to the union(s) and their members on complaints and grievances and ensures that supervisors are familiar with the negotiated agreement.
- →Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, subject to change based on the needs of the facility.
- →Telework: This position may be authorized for ad-hoc telework.
