About the Position: This position is located within Raymond W Bliss Army Health Center, Fort Huachuca, AZ. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. Applicants with a strong clinical background and direct patient care experience (such as nursing, medical assisting, or other hands-on clinical roles) are highly preferred.
What You'll Do
- →Maintain patient safety policies, programs, and practices in accordance with Quality Management Program principles and numerous applicable regulations.
- →Implement a process to receive and centrally manage patient safety reports from Military Treatment Facility staff and/or patients or visitors.
- →Train staff as appropriate in the patient safety and process improvement concepts in order to promote their role as team members, team leaders, and recorders.
- →Provide feedback to staff regarding the identification and follow-up of patient safety events, lessons learned, and corrective actions.
- →Comply with directives in preparing annual and cyclic planning documents.
- →Assist in the planning, development and implementation of the patient safety and performance improvement programs, patient safety policies and procedures.
