About the Role
This position is located in the Risk Management Agency (RMA), Deputy Administrator for Insurance Services (DAIS). The primary purpose of this position is to plan, execute, and advance regional and nationwide strategies foracquiring, analyzing, integrating, and applying Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and remote-sensingdata to support RMA's risk-management products.
What You'll Do
- →Assists Insurance Services Division management officials and staff to develop and implement long-range plans, strategies, and objectives for applying GIS technology to RMA geographical and actuarial programs, and related operations.
- →Uses research methods from many aspects of geography to study all facets of an area, including its climate, economy, physical features, and culture.
- →Plans and conducts cartographic and geographic studies to analyze crop insurance experience (such as analyzing and classifying risk and productivity) and participation.
- →Performs or aids in the testing and validation of such system capability and performs reviews leading to recommendations of system, application, or data modification.
- →Justifies, interprets, and negotiates cooperative programs with partner organizations to undertake efforts such as the development of integrated projects, enhancement of current analytics applications, and research of analytics application concepts.

- ✓Your transcripts must be in English or include an English translation.
