You will serve as a General Engineer in the Manufacturing and Quality Engineering Division, Carrier Strike Branch of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV. You will serve as the Manufacturing & Quality Engineering Lead for PMA-234.
What You'll Do
- →You will provide technical review and consultation to development activities on adequacy of specification, production processes, You will review capacity analysis, industrial flow, constraint management, tooling, fixturing, gaging, and machine requirements.
- →You will develops metrics for manufacturing to include scrap, rework, repair, first pass yield, failure review, and continuous improvement.
- →You will ensure requirements are properly addressed on drawings and products are made on a consistent basis according to the defined requirements.
- →You will review Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Waivers/Deviations, and identify and provide recommendations to management when production issues arise.
Requirements
- ✓Applicants must meet the following basic education requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Successful completion of a professional engineering degree.
- ✓Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
- ✓OR Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.

- ✓OR Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and in engineering that included the courses specified in the basic requirements under paragraph A (above).
- ✓Ordinarily, there should be either an established plan of intensive training to develop professional engineering competence, or several years of prior professional engineering-type experience, e.g., in interdisciplinary positions.
