As a Biologist Science Technician (Wildlife), you will assist in the planning and execution of wildlife program activities for the Southeastern States Bureau of Land Management located in Flowood, Mississippi. You will perform a range of field and technical support duties that contribute to wildlife habitat management, data collection, monitoring efforts, and overall program success. Anticipated Entry on Duty: September 2026
What You'll Do
- →Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: Participates in inventories of wildlife and their habitats.
- →Collects data on wildlife habitat conditions and age, species location, breeding status, species condition.
- →Participates in construction projects such as water developments, and fencing.
- →Compiles and organizes survey data, prepares narratives and reports; enters and receives data from automated databases.
- →Works with range, lands, recreation, wild horse, and other programs to improve or repair infrastructure.
- →Helps other technicians/aids in collecting field data and completing required projects.
Requirements
- ✓Must provide proof of U.S. citizenship.
- ✓Appointment subject to background investigation and favorable adjudication.
- ✓Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
