The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Flight Management Specialist responsible for planning, analyzing, coordinating, managing, and flight-following unconventional and complex USTRANSCOM validated requirements supporting the President, Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS), DoD, and non-DoD Agencies on a 24 hour, 365-day worldwide basis.
What You'll Do
- →Plans, produces, files (appropriate Air Traffic Control (ATC) agencies), and transmits electronic flight planning products necessary to execute an air mobility mission supporting JCS, DoD, or non-DoD agencies typically characterized as unpredictable and unconventional.
- →Monitors and tracks status of all assigned air mobility missions, noting any deviations.
- →Analyzes issues that have potential impact on missions, and relays information to aircrews, supporting units, users, tactical managers, mission area representatives, operations directors, ATC, and support agencies, as appropriate.
- →Provides air transportation operations information/recommendations to prevent and solve crises in the short-notice environment.
- →As necessary, provides guidance to all mission execution personnel.
- →Ensures current, accurate information and procedures are utilized.
- →Monitors status of air mobility missions and identifies air traffic service problems that may impact mission accomplishment, such as weather, clearances, route structure changes, ground delays, curfews, etc.
