About the Role

This position is located in the Department of War (DoW), Office of the Assistant to the Secretary of War for Public Affairs (OATSW(PA)). The OATSW(PA) is responsible to the Secretary of War for public information, internal information, community relations, public affairs professional development, audiovisual matters, and trademark licensing programs. This position is located in the Pentagon.

  • Incumbents typical work assignments may include the following: Conducts detailed, multi-year financial analyses of intricate licensing agreements, royalty payments, commercial fee structures, and vendor performance metrics, reconciling commercial business practices with federal statutory requirements and fiscal law.
  • Integrates and reports of cost/performance metrics, establishing innovative methodologies to evaluate the Return on Investment (ROI) and fiscal health of diverse brand and licensing initiatives.
  • Directs and executes a multi-faceted compliance program, performing systemic financial audits and forensic-level analysis of licensee reporting, royalty submissions, and complex commercial sales data to identify and mitigate fiscal risks or systemic failures.
  • Formulates, defends, and executes official agency responses, skillfully negotiating audit findings with senior auditors to protect organizational interests and ensure factual accuracy.
