What You'll Do

  • Provides technical assistance to managers concerning appropriated and nonappropriated fund budgeting.
  • Ensures the correct production of budgets and their execution including compliance with appropriate regulations, etc.
  • Reviews and analyzes financial reports to identify trends, working capital and the NAFI's financial position.
  • Ensures all individual budgets are coordinated, realistic and support long range planning.
  • Consolidates budgets into a single NAFI package.
  • Evaluates established internal policies, procedures and management controls to ensure adequacy.
  • Monitors compliance.
  • Recommends changes and suggests solutions to managers.
  • Performs analyses of performs financial statements for proposed ventures; evaluates efficiency and effectiveness of proposals; prepares/reviews return on investment schedules for capital projects; assists and guides managers deciding on capital reinvestments.
  • Executes Accounts Payable (AP) functions, ensuring accurate verification, coding, and timely processing of vendor and miscellaneous invoices, disbursements, and expense claims.
  • Manages Accounts Receivable (AR) processes, including generating accurate billing, tracking outstanding aging reports, processing incoming payments, and resolving account discrepancies.
