This position is located in This position, located in the Albuquerque Service Center of the USDA, Forest Service, is part of the Chief Financial Officer Budget and Finance section of the Center. The incumbent is responsible for implementing, operating, and maintaining an integrated financial information system responsive to user and customer needs. What You'll Do
- →Participates in the planning and performance of financial management studies that involve the analysis of complex administrative processes.
- →Interprets and applies regulations, laws, policies, and guidelines applicable to financial management ensuring no possible violations of these guidelines.
- →Participates in the review and evaluation of financial systems for effectiveness of internal controls and integrity of the organizations financial information.
- →Analyze processing flows, reviewing data in reports and financial statements.
- →Identifies abnormal trends and performs in-depth rigorous analysis of financial processes by employing techniques such as cost-benefit analysis, and theory.
- →Takes necessary action to correct and produce reports; prepares supporting schedules, justifications, and related documentation as required by OMB, Treasury, and/or the Department of Agriculture.
Requirements
- ✓Must be a U.S.
- ✓Citizen or National.
- ✓Males born after 12/31/1959 must be Selective Service registered or exempt.
- ✓Subject to satisfactory adjudication of background investigation and/or fingerprint check.
- ✓Per Public Law 104-134 all Federal employees are required to have federal payments made by direct deposit to their financial institution.
