This position is located in the Office of Development Policy of the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC). In this role you will serve as a monitoring specialist responsible for identifying, collecting, and analyzing qualitative and quantitative environmental and social (E&S) performance data to document, assess, and track the E&S performance of active projects in DFC's portfolio.
What You'll Do
- →As a Environmental & Social Monitoring Specialist, you will: Monitor the environmental and social performance of DFC projects via desk-based and on-site monitoring by partnering with the Environmental and Social Risk Assessment Financial Intermediaries and Direct Investment teams.
- →Develop and update internal templates and tools for environmental and social monitoring and reporting.
- →Assist with development of procedures for escalation of non-compliances, corrective action and other project follow-up actions and documentation.
- →Collect, synthesize, and report monitoring outputs and data from desk-based and on-site project monitoring.
- →Identify key environmental and social metrics and indicators for data collection and reporting; define targets and Key Performance Indicators for DFC portfolios.
- →Produce high quality written reports and delivers oral reports outlining project, sector, or portfolio findings and recommendations.
- →Assist with developing and maintaining portfolio-level monitoring and tracking systems and with developing system reports on environmental and social compliance status and monitoring activities.
- →Please Note: This is a Bargaining unit position represented by AFGE, local 1534.
