About the Role
This position is located in the Environmental Management Service at the Tomah, Wisconsin VA Medical Center.
What You'll Do
- →Major duties: Responsible to clean and disinfect assigned areas utilizing the proper chemicals and equipment.
- →Cleaning walls, doors, door frames, floors, window sills, blinds, beds/bed frames, fixtures, and furniture, with emphasis on high touch surface areas.
- →Polish metals, change shower, cubical and window curtains.
- →Scrubs, strips, and applies floor sealers and finishes using powered buffers and scrubbers.
- →Empties all waste and trash receptacles including regulated medical waste, chemotherapy, pathological waste, appropriate hazardous waste, as needed.
- →Disinfects and refills containers for soap and hygiene dispensers.
- →Cleans porcelain and chrome fixtures in bath and shower rooms.
- →Effectively plan daily schedule in order to accomplish routine cleaning, which may include cleaning patient care and/or administration areas of the facility.
- →Work Schedule: Full time, Monday - Friday, 3:30pm - 12:00am.
