You will serve as an Environmental Health Technician. You may be required to work on-call, evenings, weekends, holidays, overtime and shift work. You may be required to travel overnight away from home up to 1 night per month. You must obtain a government charge card for travel purposes. Salary: GS-8 (Step 1) $56,164 - (Step 10) $73,010 GS-8 (Step 1) $62,033 - (Step 10) $80,648 First time hires to the Federal government normally start at the step 1 rate.

- ✓Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.

- ✓Must have and maintain a valid driver's license throughout employment.
- ✓GS-08 - Must be able to obtain and maintain laboratory accreditations ELAP Grade I Laboratory Certification to comply with ELAP (Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program) through State of California within 12 months of EOD.
- ✓GS-09 - Must have ELAP Grade I Laboratory Certification License OR Hold valid wastewater treatment operator license appropriate to the nature and size of the facility.
- ✓ELAP Grade I Lab Certification OR valid wastewater treatment operator license must be obtained within 12 months of EOD.
- ✓You must be at least 18 years of age or older to operate government vehicles.
- ✓As a condition of employment for accepting this position, you will be required to serve a 1-Year Probationary Period during which your fitness and whether your continued employment advances the public interest will be evaluated. *Additional Requirements located under qualifications* You must submit a copy of your transcript(s) to support claimed education if substituting education for experience.
- ✓Transcripts must include your name, school name, grades, credit hours earned, major(s), grade point average or class ranking, and date the degree was conferred, if applicable.
