The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a developmental Environmental Engineer (GS-11 TARGET GS-12) with project management, execution, and operations responsibility in assigned project(s) within an environmental program element. What You'll Do
- →FOR GS-11: Monitors and manages assigned environmental projects through application of professional knowledge and skill in Environmental Engineer (0819) practices, processes and techniques.
- →Responsible for executing assigned projects, in-house and by contract, to comply with all applicable Federal, State, and local environmental laws and policies.
- →Coordinates curricula and training for assigned program areas at the installation.
- →Provides advisory services on questions, issues, and projects in assigned program areas.
- →Complies with health, safety, and environmental rules and procedures, and performs work that enhances the safety of the work environment.
- →FOR GS-12: Provides extensive environmental expertise to manage assigned environmental projects or programs through application of professional knowledge and skill in Environmental Engineer (0819) practices, processes and techniques.
- →Responsible for executing assigned projects or program element(s), in-house and by contract, to comply with all applicable Federal, state, and local environmental laws and policies.
- →Provides advisory services on specific problems, projects, programs, and functions in assigned program area.
- →Complies with health, safety, and environmental rules and procedures and performs work thatenhances the safety of the work environment.
