You will serve as a ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the ), NUC WELDING ENGR & WELDER QUAL BRANCH (Code 138.1), Welding Engineering Division (Code 138), Quality Assurance Office (Code 130) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.
What You'll Do
- →You will ensure that the concepts/work practices and philosophy of reactor plant work are fully implemented.
- →You will develop and maintain work documents, welding requirements, and test specifications for various activities.
- →You will organize and prepare written technical documents for use by personnel performing nuclear repairs.
- →You will provide assistance to prime contractors including selecting or qualifying welding procedures for methods or repair work and determining material, administrative and quality requirements.
- →You will qualify welders and assist in the preparation of work instructions.
