You will serve as a ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the TEST ENGINEERING DIVISION (CODE 246), of the ENGINEERING AND PLANNING DEPARTMENT of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.
What You'll Do
- →You will provide expert technical engineering advice and direction.
- →You will perform advance planning, preparation and assist with coordination of comprehensive test program for complex multi-disciplinary and interdisciplinary ship systems.
- →You will determine systems and test status at the start of the work shift and assist with developing system turnover procedures.
- →You will perform and oversee adequate and accurate work authorization and tag out actions for the safe release of work and testing.
