About the Role
***ACCESS TO MEDICAL AND DENTAL CARE IN JAPAN IS EXTREMELY LIMITED. Please see Additional Information section below.*** You will serve as an ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the TEST ENGINEERING DIVISION, ENGINEERING AND PLANNING DEPARTMENT of the NAVAL SHIP REPAIR FACILITY.
What You'll Do
- →You will operate and/or maintain shipboard systems.
- →You will provide engineering principles (to include hull, electrical, and mechanical as well as combat systems).
- →You will draft opening revision and close-out of Work Authorization Forms (WAFs) and tag-outs in a shipyard environment.
- →You will provide depot, intermediate, and shipboard level repairs and modernization.
- →You will ensure complete combat readiness of systems on ships.
- →You will analyze overall systems readiness and ascertain material/operational condition of the system and investigate and analyzes cause for system failures.
- →You will resolve a large number of shipboard problems as well as their root causes.
Requirements
- ✓Additional Information Continued: This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements.
