About the Role
***ACCESS TO MEDICAL AND DENTAL CARE IN JAPAN IS EXTREMELY LIMITED. Please see Additional Information section below.*** You will serve as an ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the PUBLIC WORKS Directorate (Specialized Inspections Team) of NAVAL FAC ENGINEERING CMD FAR EAST.
What You'll Do
- →You will plan for and ensure code compliance in the inspection, construction, operation, maintenance, repair and/or replacement of boilers, water heaters and unfired pressure vessels.
- →You will investigate conditions, in accordance with UFC 3-430-07, which have resulted in inadequate output or performance of the equipment, and those safety or maintenance issues discovered or reported.
- →You will compile and update inventory and certification status of all Boilers and UPV’s for all Navy and Marine Corps Installations in the FEC AOR.
Requirements
- ✓ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Cont: This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements.
- ✓Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
- ✓ICTAP Applicants: To be considered well-qualified and exercise selection priority as an ICTAP candidate, displaced Federal employees must satisfy all qualification requirements for the position and receive a rating in the highly qualified category (score 85) or higher.
- ✓ICTAP candidates must provide copies of all of the following documentation at the time of application:?1) agency notice; 2) most recent performance appraisal; and 3) most recent SF-50 or notification of personnel action that includes position, grade level, and duty location.
