About the Role
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: at the full performance level, you will serve as a Engineering Technician (Civil). You will perform work involving the gathering, processing, analyzing, and evaluating of hydrographic and related survey data.
What You'll Do
- →At the full performance level, you will Perform work involving the gathering, processing, analyzing, and evaluating of hydrographic and related survey data.
- →Serve as primary VISA/GPC (Government Purchase Card) credit card purchaser for USACE River Engineering Section Memphis District using the Corps of Engineers Financial Management System (CEFMS).
- →Process requisitions from other employees and contacts vendors with orders, assuring that the price quotes are honored, no sales tax is charged, and that items are delivered within the time constraints.
- →Assist Channel Improvement Coordinator with compiling historical data, source documents, etc., to develop and explain information not otherwise readily available.
- →Apply technical knowledge to obtain quotes and equipment that meet the River Engineering Sections specifications and requirements.
