What You'll Do
- →You will serve as a technical representative and expert in the area of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) to Naval Ordnance Safety and Security Activity (NOSSA), government and industry activities, and fleet activities.
- →You will lead and perform Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) assessment at an ESD test facility to perform 25kv and 300kv ESD testing and analysis to assess ESD vulnerability of various ordnance and energetic systems across the fleet.
- →You will write technical reports to plan and document results of ESD testing/analysis.
- →You will communicate with internal team as well as sponsors and customers to develop test plans, schedule tests, submit reports, and resolve complex technical issues.
Requirements
- ✓Applicants must meet the following basic education requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Successful completion of a professional engineering degree.
- ✓Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
- ✓OR Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.

- ✓OR Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and in engineering that included the courses specified in the basic requirements under paragraph A (above).
- ✓Ordinarily, there should be either an established plan of intensive training to develop professional engineering competence, or several years of prior professional engineering-type experience, e.g., in interdisciplinary positions.
