This position is located in Region Six, Recovery Division. The ideal candidate for this position will be highly organized with excellent customer service and the ability to multi-task and prioritize under stressful conditions. The incumbent will also have excellent written and oral communication skills with experience and knowledge in office management, technical writing, processing correspondence, and MS Office products.
What You'll Do
- →What will I do in this position if hired?
- →In this position, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective execution of all phases of assigned portions of significant regional projects.
- →Typical assignments include: Performing technical writing functions, requiring substantive knowledge of the various functional areas of emergency management and of the specialized terminology.
- →Compiling, reconciling, and correlating voluminous data from a variety of sources with different reporting requirements and formats.
- →Carefully cross checking and analyzing data to ensure information is relevant and accurate.
- →Collecting and analyzing data that is often conflicting or incomplete, cannot readily be obtained or is otherwise difficult to document.
- →Maintaining customer service and communications across internal and external recovery partners to ensure consistent information sharing and coordination.
- →Addressing issues raised by managers, supervisors and employees and provides solutions and options.

- →Every FEMA employee has regular and recurring emergency management responsibilities, though not every position requires routine deployment to disaster sites.
- →All positions are subject to recall around the clock for emergency management operations, which may require irregular work hours, work at locations other than the official duty station, and may include duties other than those specified in the employee's official position description.
- →Travel requirements in support of emergency operations may be extensive in nature (weeks to months), with little advance notice, and may require employees to relocate to emergency sites with physically austere and operationally challenging conditions.
