About the Role
This position is located in the Washington Headquarters Services (WHS), Facilities Services Directorate (FSD), Facilities Operations and Services Division (FOSD). Serves as a Journeyman Electrician in performing electrical maintenance, repairing, troubleshooting, and modifying of new and existing electrical systems, operating equipment, facilities, fixtures, and electrical devices through out the Pentagon Building.

- →Incumbents typical work assignments may include the following: Plans and lays out electrical work from blueprints, sketches, and wiring diagrams to ensure projects meet specifications.
- →Performs preventative maintenance, diagnoses faults, and repairs a wide variety of electrical systems and equipment, including motors, lighting, and HVAC systems.
- →Installs, repairs, and maintains electrical infrastructure such as switch boxes, outlet boxes, and high-voltage electric vaults, ensuring all work meets or exceeds National Electrical Code standards.
- →Connects electrical circuits to power sources and conducts tests to ensure the proper operation of switches and equipment.
