About the Role
Incumbent serves as the direct supervisor of the Electrical Section of Facilities Management Service (FMS).
What You'll Do
- →Duties include but are not limited to: Coordinate efficient usage of resources and equipment.
- →Operate and maintain emergency electrical generation equipment, auxiliaries & fire alarm systems.
- →Supervise the technicians work in diverse dissimilar occupations and tasks to maintain and repair equipment and systems.
- →Demonstrate knowledge on the requirements of the Electrical areas of the facility recommending solutions to technical engineering questions.
- →Exercise authority to adjust staff and resources to correct items out of compliance with code requirements.
- →Coordinates with other FMS supervisor's resources, staff and assignments to provide an efficient effective work environment.
- →Provide technical assistance to the Project Engineering staff.
- →Works as a Contracting Officer Representative (COR) authority on construction projects up to $10,000,000.
- →Supervise the technicians' function to operate and maintain the facility electrical and mechanical systems.
- →Conduct design reviews for construction projects, including layout, feasibility and specifications.
- →Complete the project in compliance with current National Electrical Code (NEC) and other electrical codes and standards.
- →Provide technical assistance to the technicians on the various problems and solutions regarding the design, construction and operation of the utility systems.
- →Operate electric and pneumatic tools.
- →Set up and operate hoists, pulleys and other items to accomplish the work.
Requirements
