About the Position: The Anniston Army Depot is located in Anniston, Alabama in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountain chain halfway between Atlanta, GA and Birmingham, AL just off Interstate 20. The Depot is the largest employer in Calhoun County with approximately 4000 employees.
What You'll Do
- →Answer workers questions regarding procedures, policies, written instructions, and other directives (e.g., technical orders); obtains needed information or decisions from the supervisor on problems that come up during the work.
- →Determine the effects that alterations will have on the total system and for insuring that lines and equipment function properly.
- →Work to project objectives proposed by engineers, including planning and laying out the sequence of work from drawings and blueprints which may be incomplete, regarding the specific wiring required in the unique application of equipment.
- →Guidance for proper handling of hazardous materials/waste is obtained through formal training efforts and specific guidance issued by the supervisor.
- →Make in field decisions to correct or prevent system faults which would result in unscheduled post wide power failures.
