This vacancy is for a GS-0850-12, Electrical Engineer located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Coast Guard Academy, Facilities Engineering Dept, Construction and Engineering Branch.
What You'll Do
- →You will serve as an Electrical Engineer and be responsible for developing the designs, plans, specifications and estimates for all electrical engineering work that is required at the U.S.
- →Coast Guard Academy.
- →Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team.
- →Typical work assignments include: Managing assigned projects from concept through completion.
- →Acting as the Electrical Engineer-in-Charge (EIC) for in-house projects, preparing all design documentation for electrical work, to include detailed drawings, technical specifications, and cost estimates for a wide range of electrical systems.
- →Developing scopes of work and manages Architectural/Engineering (A/E) contracts for outsourced designs on electrical projects.
- →Serving as the lead technical authority during the construction phase of electrical projects.
- →Acting as the definitive technical advisor for all electrical engineering matters across the Academy.
- →Preparing and maintaining all required project and contract documentation.
