This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serves as technical expert at a multi-purpose hydroelectric facility in the Engineering and Contracts Section. Responsible for a variety of functions in support of the large hydropower plant, fish passage systems, navigation lock, and spillway.
What You'll Do
- →Troubleshoot unusual circumstances, locates problems, formulates plan of action, develops precedents, identifies and defines requirements, designs new or modifications, etc.
- →Analyze complex electrical engineering problems and develops cost-effective and viable solutions.
- →Evaluate alternatives, considering all factors such as: technical, environmental, fisheries, and economic concerns; and recommends best course of action.
- →Design modifications to existing power generation system.
- →Integrate state-of-the-art technology into the evaluation of existing power generation system.
- →Design, specify, and supervise installation of digital and analog equipment to control all dam systems.
- →Provide technical support for the Data Acquisition and Control system for software and hardware.
