About the Role

You will serve as a ELECTRICAL ENGINEER of NAVAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING AND EXPEDITIONARY WARFARE CENTER.

What You'll Do

  • You will lead the electrical design, review, or analysis of electrical power and distribution systems on navy installations.
  • You will lead small groups of engineers and technicians to provide technical recommendations of electrical power issues to the team lead and division director.
  • You will prepare business briefings for presentations to senior leadership.
  • You will prepare electrical one-lines, graphs, charts to explain engineering solutions and project management to effectively execute research and development (R/D) and engineering projects.
  • You will outline objectives, budget, tasks, schedules, staffing needs, and deliverables in the execution of projects and/or program management.
  • You will draft R/D proposals and/or Statement of Work for customers to offer engineering solutions/services to obtain project funding.
  • You will serve as principal investigator of Program Manger on R/D or engineering services projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Applicants must meet the following basic education requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Successful completion of a professional engineering degree.
  • Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
  • OR Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.

  • OR Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and in engineering that included the courses specified in the basic requirements under paragraph A (above).
  • Ordinarily, there should be either an established plan of intensive training to develop professional engineering competence, or several years of prior professional engineering-type experience, e.g., in interdisciplinary positions.
