The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a senior professional electrical engineer, performing operations and maintenance (O&M) duties in support of a military installation. Leads a team of lower graded engineers/architects from a variety of disciplines and technical staff on large and complex multi-phase projects. What You'll Do
- →Performs O&M engineering involving maintenance, repair, upgrade, and operation of electrical circuits, equipment, and systems to infrastructure facilities, including utility systems, at a large and complex military installation utilizing a professional knowledge of electrical engineering.
- →Determines short- and long-range requirements for replacement of existing complex and major electrical systems, equipment, etc.
- →Serves as a consultant on all electrical engineering aspects of O&M projects and provides electrical engineering support to trades and crafts shops.
- →Coordinates projects with engineers in other disciplines or with architects.
- →Keeps abreast of emerging technologies to ensure programmed development will not prematurely become obsolete.
- →In conjunction with the primary duty of O&M; on a less frequent basis performs work in the construction management, design, and programming/base development functions.
- →Complies with health, safety, and environmental rules and procedures and performs work in a manner that enhances the safety of the work environment.
