What You'll Do
- →SUMMARY: PRIMARY PURPOSE: to assist with the oversight and coordinate specialized developmental care for children 6 weeks to 5 years of age in the child development program.
- →To serve as a senior educational technician and provide support and guidance to appropriated fund (APF) employees, non-appropriated fund (NAF) employees, and other employees as assigned.
- →Facilitates appropriate instruction for children in assigned areas of responsibility.
- →The incumbent may be designated as the supervisor on duty, as needed, in operation of the center during extended hours and in the absence of the Assistant Director and/or Director.
- →DUTIES: Responsible for technical program oversight of the lower graded assistants, lead program assistants, and technicians providing them mentoring, training and instruction.
- →Provides age appropriate developmental care for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years of age.
- →Ensures a safe, healthy and nurturing environment for all children.
- →Prepares daily activities for children 6 weeks to 5 years of age that supports the inclusion of children with special needs.
