About the Role

The primary purpose of this position is to be the single point of contact responsible for planning, administering, developing, and evaluating the training and education services program for all personnel assigned or attached to the Pentagon. Serves as liaison between additional duty training managers and 811 FSS regarding training.

What You'll Do

  • Serves as the Base Training and Education Services (BTES) Administrator with responsibility to plan, direct, coordinate and report on the full scope of activities to accomplish the assigned centers programs. 2.
  • Conducts the strategic planning process to include needs assessment, evaluation of quality training system recommendations, establishing annual objectives, review the Training Plans for currency and implement the plan and evaluate progress. 3.
  • Provides On-the-Job Training (OJT) and Education consultant services to support all assigned units on all performance locations to include reserve Individual Mobilization Augmentees (IMAs). 4.
  • Provides oversight to the myLearning program and computer systems maintenance. 5.
  • Utilizes multiple office automation and performs additional duties/responsibilities.

  • FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements.
  • You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
  • Appointment of military members before the release or discharge date is permissible if the member is on terminal leave.
  • At the time the active duty member applies for a civil position, he or she must submit a "certification" memo in lieu of a DD-Form 214, Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty.
  • Active duty members applying for a civil service position without submitting a valid certification memo or DD-Form 214 with their application will render the member ineligible for the position.
  • Note: The VOW Act provides tentative preference.
  • If appointed, a DD Form-214 must be submitted upon receipt
