What You'll Do
- →If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team responsible for docketing and receptionist duties at the United States Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Ohio.
- →Typical work assignments will include, but are not limited to, the following: Serves as a source of procedural, systemic, and substantive information on all aspects of docketing and case management.
- →Inputs and maintains automated records from initial referral to final disposition and case file closure.
- →Extracts data and/or statistical information from automated docketing and case management systems by developing standard and one-time reports to secure relevant information from case files and related sources.
- →Determines data categories, report formats, field types, sorting and calculating functions to be performed, and establishes detailed functional procedures to enter and to retrieve pertinent data in the proper format.
- →Receives and reviews incoming case file information, analyzes content to update databases and record status changes in all items docketed, and performs necessary research to correct and update case file records.
- →Receives office visitors and telephone callers, provides factual information in response to inquiries, and/or directs them to the appropriate office or individual.
- →Exercises confidentiality, tact, discretion, and judgement in determining what information may be properly released.
- →Receives, opens, date stamps, and routes incoming mail to the intended recipient, and prepares outgoing mail and packages.
- →Provides administrative and clerical support on a variety of ancillary office support functions.
- →Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.
Requirements
- ✓All academic degrees and coursework must be completed at a college or university that has obtained accreditation or pre-accreditation status from an accrediting body recognized by the U.S.
- ✓Department of Education.
